With nearly 200 Google reviews and an established local reputation, Total Hair and Body Medical offers men and women a personalized, physician-led approach to hormone care, centered on lab work, symptoms, and goals—not a one-size-fits-all protocol.
At just 38 years old, I unexpectedly had a total hysterectomy—and life changed almost overnight. I struggled with exhaustion, brain fog, emotional changes, and a loss of interest in things that had always been important to me. I was a busy mom, wife, and pharmacist, and I felt like I was losing pieces of myself. I tried pills, creams, and other options, but nothing seemed to give me the relief I was looking for. My husband, an ER physician, had encouraged me to consider hormone pellet therapy, but I was hesitant. Eventually, after reaching a point where I knew something had to change, I decided to give it a chance. For me, hormone therapy was life-changing. I began to feel like myself again—more energetic, more present, more connected to my husband and family, and better able to enjoy my life. That experience became a huge part of the reason we are so passionate about hormone therapy at Total Hair & Body Medical. We understand that when you don’t feel like yourself, it can affect every part of your life. Our goal is to listen, understand what you’re experiencing, and help you find an individualized approach that allows you to feel your best in the season of life you’re in. This isn’t simply a service we decided to offer. It’s personal to us—and it’s part of the story behind Total Hair & Body Medical.

"Hormone care shouldn't be one-size-fits-all. We start with your labs, listen to what you're actually experiencing, and build a plan around you—not a generic protocol. For a lot of patients, that's the first time they feel like someone is really looking at what's going on." —Dr. Darin Hale
Hormone replacement therapy may be a good fit for men and women who want to feel more like themselves again and are looking for experienced, physician‑led care that is personalized to their blood work—not a blanket hormone protocol.
You May Be a Good Candidate If You:
Are feeling “off” lately, low energy, mood changes, restless sleep, decreased motivation, or changes in libido, and want to understand whether hormones may be playing a role.
Are a woman experiencing changes associated with perimenopause, menopause, postmenopause, or a hysterectomy, or a man noticing possible low‑testosterone symptoms or other hormone‑related changes.
Are willing to complete lab work so Dr. Hale can review your hormone levels, symptoms, and health history before recommending any HRT plan.
Prefer a bio‑identical, pellet‑based approach that is tailored to your lab results and individual needs rather than a one‑size‑fits‑all hormone regimen.
If HRT is not the right fit for you, Dr. Hale can discuss appropriate alternatives or next steps during your free consultation.

Hormone therapy at Total Hair and Body Medical is physician‑led and personalized. Dr. Hale, Chanell Salage, FNP, and the care team will explain each step, review your labs and health history, and make sure you understand your plan before any pellet treatment begins.
Your path typically starts with in‑house blood work, followed by a free consultation with Dr. Hale to discuss your symptoms, review your results, and determine whether HRT is appropriate. If pellet therapy is recommended, your provider will walk you through the visit, answer your questions, and give you clear pre‑care and post‑care instructions tailored to your needs.
Recovery and results vary from patient to patient. Your provider will outline any expected temporary effects, activity recommendations, and follow‑up visits so your hormone plan can be monitored and adjusted over time. Hormone care is an ongoing process—not a one‑time treatment—with changes that are evaluated through follow‑up visits and lab reviews.
Individual results vary. A consultation, health‑history review, and lab work are required to determine candidacy.
Here’s what to expect before, during, and after your visit. Every HRT plan at Total Hair and Body Medical begins with a conversation, a review of your health history, and lab work, so your provider can recommend care based on your individual needs rather than a one‑size‑fits‑all protocol.
Your care begins with blood work drawn in-house by Chanell Salage, FNP, RN Krisha, or another member of the clinical team. Your results give the team a clearer picture of your hormone levels and help ensure your plan is based on your numbers—not a guess.
You’ll meet with Dr. Hale to discuss what you’ve been experiencing, review your health history and lab results, and ask any questions you have. If HRT is appropriate, he’ll explain your personalized recommendation and review your treatment options and pricing before anything begins.
If you are a candidate and choose to move forward, your provider creates a bio-identical HRT plan tailored to your lab work, symptoms, and goals. Pellet insertion may be available on the same day as your consultation when appropriate.
Your care does not end after treatment begins. Follow-up visits and lab reviews help your provider monitor your plan and make recommendations based on your progress, symptoms, and individual needs.
Your path begins with a free consultation and in-house lab work.
If treatment is appropriate, pellet insertion may be available on the same day. Follow-up timing and any recommended adjustments are determined by your provider based on your plan and health history.
Hormone care is personal. At Total Hair and Body Medical, your HRT plan is supported by an experienced, physician-led care team that takes the time to understand your symptoms, health history, goals, and blood work before recommending treatment.

Your HRT care is led by Dr. Darin Hale, a Board-Certified Family Physician with personalized hormone-therapy experience since 2009. Chanell Salage, FNP, brings 19 years of nursing experience, seven years as a nurse practitioner, and training in hormone optimization, including HRT. Together with the clinical team, they support a clear, personalized path from lab work through follow-up care.
Your HRT care starts with blood work and a consultation. If pellet insertion is recommended, your provider will explain what to expect for your visit, including any anticipated sensations and post‑care instructions. Some patients report brief pressure or mild discomfort during treatment, but your provider will review comfort options and what is appropriate for your individual plan.
Appointment timing can vary based on whether you are completing lab work, reviewing results with Dr. Hale, or moving forward with treatment. The team will let you know what to expect when your consultation is scheduled.
Every patient responds differently. Your provider will discuss realistic expectations during your consultation and use follow-up visits and lab reviews to monitor how you are responding to your personalized plan.
Your treatment schedule depends on your hormone levels, symptoms, health history, and provider recommendation. Many patients follow an ongoing pellet plan with regular lab reviews and follow‑up visits so Dr. Hale can adjust treatment based on how they’re responding.
Your HRT plan and pricing depend on your lab results, symptoms, and provider recommendation. During your free consultation, Dr. Hale will review your options and explain the costs before you decide whether to move forward.
